'Maa Ledungga' in Gorontalo (North Sulawesi) means 'has arrived'. This word is used to refer to the arrival of the rice harvest season which is greeted with joy by the farmers.

For several days, residents in the village of South Huntu, South Bulango Subdistrict, Bone Bolango district, Gorontalo were indeed holding a simple party to express their joy because the harvest season had arrived. The event was held in a rice field as a gratitude because it will reap the hard work for 3-4 months of planting, caring for and harvesting rice.

The farmers held a post-harvest party by collaborating with artists from various communities. The party, which took place from December 11 to 28th, will present a number of arts performances such as bamboo and straw installations, traditional music, farmers 'dances and art exhibitions exhibiting a number of artists' works from various regions in Indonesia.

Wayan Seriyoga Parta, as the curator at the Maa Ledungga art exhibition, said that this activity was an annual activity carried out by Tupalo-Gorontalo group of artists and in collaboration with the surrounding community. "We have designed this exhibition specifically in public spaces, which is so close to the people and conjured up rice grills owned by local residents to be used as exhibition places.
